Modal verbs are among the most frequently used words in English. They enable you express yourself with clarity and subtlety. You can use them to indicate your feelings and views about the world around you - whether things are possible or necessary. Modal verbs are important in the exam and so using these two Modal Verbs Language Practice for IELTS exercises will help you to judge your current level of understanding ahead of the exam. They are useful in all four skills in the exam. However, be careful with Academic Writing Task 1 where you should not use them because the task requires you to report only the facts you see in the graph or diagram and not to speculate or use hypothetical language.
